The editors of Law Technology News (LTN) asked the publication’s more than 40,000 subscribers to nominate finalists in its seventh annual program to identify products and vendors that represent outstanding achievement in legal technology in various award categories. The awards will be presented at the LTN Technology Awards Dinner at LegalTech New York in February of 2010.
This is the third year in a row for Platinum to be nominated as a finalist in the time and billing system categories. RainMaker Platinum is a financial management system developed with the mid-large sized law firm in mind. The nomination for Product of the Year is for Green Legal Billing, a break-through in billing that eliminates all the paper by providing clients with an email notification indicating that their bill is available for download in a digital format from the Greenlegalbills.com web site. The Client Super Site, a highly-secured hosted portal, allows clients to not only access all current and past bill images, but also review billing and payment history, account balances, trust and retainer balances and payment inquiries. This new hosted service and dedicated portal is fully integrated with RainMaker’s award winning Platinum product. Since Green Legal Billing emails are automatically generated by the Platinum system, clients receive their billings 5 to 7 days before they would normally receive a paper version. The new service will also eliminate the amount of bill re-printing firms do during the collections process.
