e-RainMaker – Provides RainMaker clients with Web access to RainMaker Platinum Financial and Practice Management applications. e-RainMaker Web applications include; Web Time Entry, BI .NET, Electronic New Case Memo, Zoom .NET and Attorney Message Center.
Electronic Billing Interface (EBI) – Allows for the creation and delivery of bills to clients via the Internet in any desired electronic format including the industry standard LEDES format.
Exchange Integration – A bi-directional synchronization of information between RainMaker Practice Management and Microsoft® Outlook/Exchange Server 2003. Contacts and docket events entered in either Practice Management or Outlook synchronize so a user can view information in either product.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - Help a firm to define and measure progress toward business goals. Key Performance Indicators are quantifiable metrics which reflect the success of a firm. Zoom .NET, Electronic New Case Memo and Digital Scorecards are examples of Key Performance Indicators.

.NET - .NET is the Microsoft® Web technology which connects information, people, systems and devices through software.
New Case Memo – Software technology which enables clients to share and integrate critical information more quickly and efficiently. New Case Memo .NET allows clients to; design browser-based date entry screens, design a workflow scheme for new client-matter entry complete with email approval forms and Web links to firm personnel, specify business rules that monitor the firm’s standards of performance for accomplishing each step of the intake process, email smart alerts for approvals and delays in the workflow process, full integration with Time and Billing, Marketing, Collections, CRM and Microsoft® Exchange Server.

Practice Management – A suite of modules within the Platinum system which includes; Time and Expense Entry, Collections, Relationship Management, CRM, Case Management, Advanced Conflict Avoidance, Docket & Scheduling, Marketing/Mail List Management and Microsoft® Outlook-Exchange Server Integration.

Smart Alerts – Event-driven alerts used in RainMaker’s Advanced Conflict Avoidance and Docket/Scheduling Modules. Smart Alerts for Advanced Conflict Avoidance sends a message to attorneys for assistance in resolving a conflict. A "Smart Message" can be defined and saved to have embedded variables, such as the name of a potential client, description of the matter, date the search was run, user name, etc. Smart Alerts for Docket/Scheduling prompts event driven alerts to notify attorneys of critical dates and times. An event can have multiple alerts set to notify the attorney, such as 5 days before, then 1 day and then the day of the event.
SQL – SQL is the abbreviation for Structured Query Language and is a universal language used by many databases. Microsoft® SQL Server, used by RainMaker Software, is a relational database that supports/uses SQL.

Time Entry – A module within RainMaker Platinum that allows the user to input billable and non-billable time for tracking and billing purposes.

Workflow – Routing software built into certain RainMaker products which allow the firm to route data entry, approve next steps and send email notifications in order to accomplish tasks such as New Case Memo.

Zoom.Net – Built entirely on Microsoft® .NET technology, Zoom .NET provides Key Performance Indicators (KPI) allowing users to monitor business activity at all levels within the firm including financial performance at the firm level, branch office, departments, area of law, attorneys, clients and matters. Inquiry is also available for Accounts Payable, General Ledger and actual to budget analysis.
